Overview

Join ICOMOS India if you feel concerned and would like to engage with Heritage Matters both Culture and Nature. Become a member of the national and global community of ICOMOS!

Becoming a member makes you part of a growing family of professionals such as planners, historians, educators, curators, anthropologists, archaeologists, architects, interpretation specialists, conservators, engineers and other people with experience of working in heritage conservation. Different benefits and requirements apply to the different categories of membership.

Some of the benefits include, information about national and international activities, current heritage issues and employment opportunities, opportunities to participate in activities and events across the country, professional networking opportunities and discounts at select ICOMOS India functions and conferences. Individual membership

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is open to individuals who support the mandate of ICOMOS India. They do not have voting rights. Student Membership is an associate membership and is open to students pursuing post-doctorate and doctorate degrees in related fields. Student members do not have voting rights.

Institutional Membership

Institutional Membership is Open to any institution concerned with conservation, protection, restoration, rehabilitation, enhancement or animation of historic monuments, groups of buildings and sites, institutions which have in their charge historical monuments, groups of buildings and sites and institutions which devote all or part of their activity to one or more of the objectives listed above. The institution should have been in existence for a minimum period of 5 years.

Please note that Institutional Membership does not provide the same benefits as being a Full Individual Member of ICOMOS. Professionals working in organizations as outlined above, who wish to access the full range of benefits of ICOMOS membership, are encouraged to apply as Full Individual Members or Young Professionals.

Under the ICOMOS International Statutes, Institutional members are not eligible to be members of the International Executive Committee, International Scientific Committees or other ICOMOS committees.

Sustaining Membership

Sustaining Membership is Open to individuals or institutions willing to financially support the aims and objectives of ICOMOS India. Sustaining members do not have voting rights.

Honorary Membership



Honorary Membership is Conferred by the Annual General Assembly on the proposal of the Executive committee upon individuals who have rendered distinguished services in the related field.

How to Become a Member?

You can join ICOMOS India and support the cause of heritage in India and globally. The membership application can be made online when the call for memberships is announced on the website. The membership fees for all the membership categories is as follows:
