To commemorate the World Heritage Day Week 2024 from 14th to 18th April, 2024, the following programmes are being organised by ICOMOS India (International Council on Monuments and Sites, India), Deccan Heritage Academy Trust (DHAT) and Salarjung Museum in collaboration with Woxsen School of Architecture and Planning, JBR Architecture College and Telangana Sculptors and Artists Association.
A Heritage Walk from Charminar to Chowmahalla on 14th April 2024 (Sunday) from 7:00 am
Deccan Heritage Academy Trust (DHAT) in collaboration with South Zone ICOMOS India, is planning to organise a HERITAGE WALK from Charminar to Chowmahalla on 14th April 2024 (Sunday) from 7:00 am to spread awareness of importance and reaffirm our pride in our city and personal observations on highlighting a vast range of heritage and architectural styles and to trace the city’s cultural history and to make the participants to look back and reminds them to think about the existence of every historical structure and places. The members from South Zone ICOMOS, India and Members from Civil Society Groups, heritage enthusiasts, students and faculty from the schools and architecture Colleges of Hyderabad will participate in the Heritage Walk.
Commemorating 50 years of the Venice Charter on the occasion of International Day for Monuments and Sites - April 18, 2024 with the Theme: ‘Disasters and Conflicts Through the Lens of the Venice Charter’. On this occasion a 30 hours spread over 6 weeks of short orientation/training programme for students & young professionals from April 14 to May 18, 2024 by expert lectures, workshops, heritage site visits and issue a VOH Badge 2024 after full attendance and successful completion of the programme. The Programme is aimed to understand the damages done to the planet by human actions in the last one hundred years and more. Lessons are introduced in the schools and youngsters are motivated to speak up for planetary causes and concerns and even shift lifestyles to protect, preserve and live in sensitivity. Recognizing the need to reach out students and youngsters of Hyderabad, orient, sensitise and motivate them to speak up, stand up and save cultural heritage.
Eligibility: Undergraduate/ Postgraduate Students Above 16 years and Below 25 years of age from any of the fields of arts, science, humanities, commerce, mathematics, STEM, design, architecture are eligible by registering in the programme with No Registration Fee.

Talk and Exhibition on 18th April 2024 at Salar Jung Museum
Woxsen School of Architecture and Planning, Deccan Heritage Academy Trust (DHAT) and Telangana Sculptors and Artists Association (TSAA) in collaboration with South Zone ICOMOS, India is commemorating 50 years of the Venice Charter on the occasion of International Day for Monuments and Sites - April 18, 2024 with the Theme: ‘Disasters and Conflicts Through the Lens of the Venice Charter’ . The event is being organised with the support of Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad at the Museum with the following events by the volunteers of ICOMOS India South Zone and Institutions.
