Competition for World Heritage Day Celebration | West Zone

ICOMOS India's Institutional Partner, Manipal University Jaipur in collaboration with West Zone, is organizing a Competition in view of the World Heritage day which is on 18th April 2024.

HERITAGE QUEST CELEBRATING OUR GLOBAL LEGACY

ICOMOS India invites you to participate in a competition organised by Heritage Club, School of Architecture and Design,Manipal University on the occasion of ‘International Day for Monuments and Sites’ commonly known as World Heritage Day celebrated every year on 18th April.

Detail of the Competition:

This year, on April 18th 2024, we aim to celebrate it via conducting the following competitions to create awareness about this day and to exhibit our own skill sets to explore diverse ideas involving our perspective of heritage, including all disciplines of design. This year’s theme for the Day is “Disaster and Conflict Resilient Heritage- Preparedness, Response and Recovery”.  

The student competitions are as follows-

  1. Poster Making Competition

Deliverables: 1x A3 sized poster (portrait format) displaying the above mentioned theme. Feel free to compose and design your posters as per your will. The poster can be handmade or digitally made by the candidates themselves and mandatorily be original.

*Make sure that no candidate mentions their name or any other details on the front of the poster.

  1. Photography Competition

Deliverables: Square photograph(s) captured by the candidate himself/ herself in the size 8x8 inches, framed with half an inch border and half inch black frame- adding to a total size of 10x 10 inches submission of frame(s).

*Make sure that no candidate mentions their name or any other details on the front of the photograph.

  1. Reel making Competition

Deliverables: This short video making event requires the candidate to produce a 60s video in the aspect ratio 16:9 (portrait format as the usual reels on Instagram).

1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize to be awarded to the winners of each competition on April 18th 2024 on the occasion of World Heritage Day.

Submission Date: 17th April 2023, 3:00PM

*All submissions are to be submitted latest by the above mentioned deadline.

Submission format: Each candidate must mention the following details behind their poster/ photograph frame- Name, Registration Number, Year, Department.

*For reels, mention the details at the end of the reel on a separately provided closing clip.

*Make sure that no candidate mentions their name or any other details on the front of the poster/ photograph frame.
